Elbrus is licensed to explore and develop an 84,000 acre concession in the Republic of Kalmykia located in the former Russian Federation. This concession contains 64 wells of which 62 were producing wells drilled over 40 years ago during the Soviet era. The wells were capped and remained non-productive for these many years because of previous low gas prices and technology that couldn’t handle the volume produced by High Pressure wells. With new skilled managers and a team hired from Baker-Hughes, the wells will be opened again and oil and gas transported via newly built gas and oil pipelines built to handle the heavy flow.
